Why Track Habits?

Habits are the compound interest of self-improvement. They are the small, automated decisions and actions you perform every day. By consciously choosing and tracking your habits, you are building the foundation for your long-term goals. Miarazzo helps you make this process intentional, visible, and rewarding.

Getting Started: A Step-by-Step Guide

1

Create Your Habit

Navigate to My Habits. Here you can define a new habit. Give it a clear, actionable name (e.g., "Read one chapter of a book" instead of just "Read"). You can choose whether you want to **build** a good habit or **quit** a bad one, and set its frequency.

2

Link to a Goal (Optional, but Recommended!)

The true power of Miarazzo comes from connecting your daily actions to your life aspirations. When creating or editing a habit, you can link it to one or more of your goals. This constantly reminds you *why* you are putting in the daily effort and allows you to see your progress in a more meaningful way on the Goal Progress pages.

3

Track Daily on Your Dashboard

Your Dashboard is your daily command center. Each day, it will show you the habits scheduled for that day. You can easily log your status, add a journal note about your experience, and see your streak grow. The interface is designed to be fast and satisfying, giving you immediate feedback on your actions.

How Gamification Works

We use Streaks, XP, Levels, and Badges to make your journey more engaging and fun.

Streaks

A streak is the number of consecutive days you have successfully completed a habit. It's a powerful motivator to "not break the chain."

  • Increases: When you log a "Done" (for build habits) or "Succeeded" (for quit habits) on a day immediately following your previous success.
  • Resets: When you log a "Missed" or "Failed" status.
  • Pauses: When you log "Skipped". This lets you take a planned day off without losing your hard-earned progress.

XP & Levels

Experience Points (XP) represent your total effort over time. Unlike streaks, you never lose XP!

  • Earn 10 XP for every successful habit log.
  • Earn 50 XP as a bonus for every new badge you unlock.
  • Level Up: As you accumulate XP, you will reach new levels. Your current level is always displayed in the navigation bar, showing your overall commitment.

Badges

Badges are special achievements awarded for hitting key milestones. They recognize significant moments in your journey. You can earn badges for:

  • Initiation: Creating your first habit and linking it to a goal.
  • Consistency: Reaching streak milestones like 3, 7, 14, and 30 consecutive days on any habit.
  • Diversity: Maintaining streaks on multiple habits at the same time.

You'll receive a notification when you earn a new badge. You can view your entire collection on the My Badges page.

Frequently Asked Questions

Missed means you intended to do the habit but failed to. This will break your streak and does not earn XP.

Skipped is for planned days off. Maybe you're on vacation, sick, or it's a rest day. Skipping a habit does not break your streak; it simply pauses it for that day. It also does not earn XP.

Yes! Our streak calculation is smart. If you go back and fill in a missed day, the system will recalculate your current streak based on the new, complete history. For example, if your streak was broken yesterday but you realize you actually completed the habit and log it, your streak will be restored.

On the Dashboard tracker, click the note icon ( or ) for any habit. A window will pop up allowing you to type your thoughts. Clicking "Done" in that window saves the note immediately. You can go back and edit it at any time. The note is also automatically saved when you log your status for the day.
